I was asked the other day whether i’d have done anything differently when starting my own business. I stupidly said that if i’d really done the sums I probably wouldn’t have taken the leap! But then last week I met some inspirational women at an International Women’s Day conference who had done the same and instantly regretted what I had said.
They had done something about it. Perhaps been fed up enough with their jobs or known there was something more out there for them. Whether that was a career, a business or a lifestyle they all started up in search of something else. They had dared to be different which is what i’ve always thrived in doing.
Tomorrow is the last day of my 30s and this quote has made me think about what I have achieved or learnt during that decade in business. Perhaps these were the things that I should have said…
Being true to yourself and what you believe in is a very yogi approach but proves that integrity pays off. It’s also something I look for when working with others.
A client today told me to remember to say hello to my New Year, and I will be.
