I have thought of this a lot lately as don’t feel like it’s the physical stuff but the mental stuff we have to deal with from others that makes us feel burnt out. Maybe it’s the energy we absorb from others but dealing with ‘people’ can be exhausting in such a caring role.

I try to limit to 5/6 a day whereas at one company was expected to do 11 treatments on big personalities! Yoga for me is like nectar and gives me energy by keeping me calm as I find a lot of exercise takes that away making me tired. The other thing I do most days is yoga nidra. It’s deep relaxation which takes you to a place between sleeping and dreaming. I’ve taken to doing it if I have a gap between treatments and find it nourishing when sometimes trying to nap isn’t going to happen. For some lying still is impossible at first but it’s so good to stop, take stock and let your body absorb the rest.
