I came across the term TRYathlon when massaging at an event a few weeks ago. Sport can be intimidating so for some the concept of giving it a go has no pressure to perform. I have worked with a lot of triathletes who carry their personalities in super tight bodies. They are attracted to hammering themselves for mental and physical reasons. For someone who predominantly does yoga this is something I have moved away from after years of competitive sport. When a client recently said “do a proper sport” when leaving the yoga studio I work from it didn’t wind my obvious zen like state up! There has been much said about whether yoga is a sport. Yoga makes me feel good, it makes me feel strong in body & mind and doesn’t zap the energy I need for other things. My idea of a triathlon is more TRYathloning with a book, bath and nap…#daretobedifferent #seeyouonthecouch
